Moscow, August 15 /Xinhua/ – Three people were killed and 20 others were injured in a gunpowder explosion at the Elastik plant in the Shilovsky district of the Ryazan region, the RIA Novosti news agency reported, citing a representative of the emergency services.
“Preliminary estimates indicate that 23 people were injured, three of whom died,” the agency quotes a source in the emergency services as saying.
Earlier it was reported that an explosion and fire occurred in the plant's gunpowder shop. The detonation completely destroyed the shop building. –0–
