ANCHORAGE, U.S., Aug. 15 (Xinhua) — U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin began talks in Anchorage, Alaska, on Friday.

The talks are taking place at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage.

Before the talks began, the leaders of the two countries arrived separately at the military base by plane, after which they shook hands and exchanged greetings.

It is expected that after the meeting, D. Trump and V. Putin will hold a joint press conference.
