Brasilia, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) — Brazil will not bow its head to the United States, Latin American President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said Thursday at an event in the northeastern state of Pernambuco.
"The US president is lying when he says Brazil is a bad trading partner. Brazil is a good partner, it just won't bow to the US government," he said.
Earlier in the day, Trump said Brazil was a “terrible trading partner” and called the trial of former President Jair Bolsonaro a “political execution.”
