In early July, Qingdao, Shandong Province, hosted the event “SCO Youth: Qingdao Encounter” for young people from Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries. Over the course of seven days, 100 students from 30 countries, including Pakistan and Tajikistan, learned about Chinese intangible cultural heritage, visited advanced technology enterprises, studied urban development, and met friends from all over the world.
In recent years, the SCO has consistently held various events, including youth camps, forums on the development of the young generation, educational and practical programs, innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, etc. These events have planted the seeds of friendship in the hearts of the youth of the SCO countries, and have also attracted more and more young men and women to actively participate in the development of the SCO.
As one of the founding members of the SCO, China has always attached great importance to youth exchanges.
