Tashkent, Aug. 14 /Xinhua/ — The 8th Central Asian expert forum "Central Asia – a common space of trust, security and sustainable development" began its work in Tashkent on Thursday, the National News Agency of Uzbekistan /UzA/ reported.
The event reportedly aims to create a platform for a comprehensive discussion of the current state and prospects of regional cooperation in Central Asia.
It is noted that specific recommendations and measures for promoting multifaceted interaction and cooperation will be developed within the framework of thematic sessions. Particular attention will be paid to supporting the formation of regional identity and strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties through scientific and practical events.
The forum was reportedly organized by the Institute of Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. –0–
