BEIJING, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) — A China-Russia cross-border marathon involving 120 people from each side will be held on Sept. 6 in Heihe, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, the Heihe City Administration of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism said Tuesday.

The 10-kilometer race will start at the Heihe-Tengchong Demarcation Line Theme Park, also known as the Hu Huanyong Line, and will end at the Kani-Kurgan checkpoint on the Chinese-Russian border.

As noted by the department, the participants of the event will have a rare opportunity to run across the automobile bridge connecting Heihe with the Russian Blagoveshchensk /Amur Region/.

In addition, on the same day, 1,000 participants will also run the full marathon distance of 42.195 km, and another 1,500 runners will try their hand at the half marathon course of 21.0975 km.
