BEIJING, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) — China will continue to suspend or lift relevant measures under its designation of untrustworthy entities against some U.S. companies from Aug. 12, 2025, the Ministry of Commerce said Tuesday.

On April 4 and 9 this year, China added 17 American enterprises to its list of unscrupulous entities, banning those firms from engaging in import-export activities related to China and from making new investments in the country.

In pursuance of the consensus reached during the China-US high-level economic and trade talks, the measures imposed under the April 4 decree were suspended for another 90 days and those imposed under the April 9 decree were lifted, the Ministry of Commerce of China said.

Domestic companies can submit applications to conduct transactions with these entities. The mechanism of the list of unreliable entities will be responsible for reviewing the applications, which will approve those that meet the conditions, the department added. -0-
