BEIJING, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) — China has contributed wisdom, resolve and strength to building a community with a shared future for mankind and achieving global sustainable development, according to an analysis report released in Beijing on Sunday.

“Emerald Waters and Green Mountains for a Beautiful China and the World: China’s Ecological Civilization Concept and Practice and Their Impact on the World” is the title of a new report jointly released by the Xinhua Institute, a think tank affiliated with the Xinhua News Agency, and the Center for the Study of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization.

According to the report, China has unleashed the global value of the concept of "emerald waters and green mountains are priceless assets" by strengthening the green consensus in the world, promoting the vitality of green transition, playing a leading role in global environmental governance, and jointly building the green Belt and Road.

In the global transition to green energy, China, with its accelerated development of new energy, is enriching the world supply and thus helping to ease global inflationary pressures. For ten years in a row, China has led the world in both photovoltaic and wind power capacity, accounting for more than 45 percent of the growth in global non-fossil energy consumption, the report notes.

Meanwhile, according to the report, China has established cooperation with more than 100 countries and regions around the world on green energy projects, and a large number of landmark energy initiatives and smaller projects aimed at benefiting people have been implemented, effectively helping to solve the problem of electricity shortage and high cost in the relevant countries.

China's practice has proven that developing countries are well-positioned to strike a balance between environmental protection and development, and China has provided a path for exploration, the report said. -0-
