BANGKOK, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) — At least 10 passengers were injured when a train en route to the Thai capital Bangkok derailed on Saturday morning, local media reported.

Three carriages of a Bangkok-bound train derailed in Kuiburi district of Prachuap Khiri Khan province early this morning, the State Railways Authority of Thailand said.

The Thai news agency reported that 10 passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital.

The cause of the accident has not yet been established. Authorities will conduct a thorough investigation. –0–
