BEIJING, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) — Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Saturday sent a congratulatory message to Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Singapore.
In his message, he noted that over the past 60 years, Singapore has maintained stable socio-economic development, achieved notable successes and played an increasingly important role in the international and regional arenas.
Noting that this year also marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore, Li Qiang said that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the traditional friendship has been continuously deepened and practical cooperation has yielded rich results, giving strong impetus to the modernization processes of both countries.
Li Qiang expressed his willingness to maintain close communication and coordination with Lawrence Wong to achieve new results in bilateral relations and cooperation, jointly safeguard international justice, and continuously enrich the all-round high-quality, future-oriented partnership between the two countries so as to bring more benefits to the peoples of both countries. –0–
