SAO PAULO, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) — At least 11 people were killed and 46 others were injured when a bus collided with a truck late Friday on a highway in Brazil's central-western state of Mato Grosso, Brazil's Federal Highway Police said Saturday.
Of the injured, eight were lightly injured, 26 were in moderate condition and 12, including the truck driver, were in serious condition, according to Brazil's official news agency Agencia Brasil.
The accident occurred near the city of Lucas do Rio Verde, about 360 km from the state capital of Cuiabá. The bus was traveling from Cuiabá to Sinop, a key center of Brazilian agribusiness.
