GUANGZHOU, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) — Nine of 14 people trapped in a landslide triggered by heavy rains in Baiyun District of Guangzhou City, south China's Guangdong Province, had been rescued as of 9:00 a.m. Thursday. Two of them had died and seven were injured, local authorities confirmed.
