Fontanka.ru conducted a study of the results of the admission campaign to St. Petersburg universities under the quota for participants in the special military operation and their children. An analysis of data from enrollment orders and competition lists showed that the first place in terms of the number of those enrolled is occupied by Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.
In 2025, 252 people were admitted to SPbPU under a separate quota, which is 1.7 times more than last year. 104 of them were admitted without entrance examinations, which indicates the significant support provided by the university to this category of applicants.
Polytechnic University ranks first in St. Petersburg and fifth in Russia in terms of the number of applicants enrolled in this category. But what is important here is not the numbers, but the development of an individual educational trajectory and support for such students throughout the entire period of study, noted Vice-Rector for Educational Activities Lyudmila Pankova.
Such a high demand for educational programs of our university speaks, first of all, about the level of trust of applicants and their families in the faculty of the Polytechnic University. After all, they have an important task – to ensure a high level of training taking into account the current background of the applicant, to analyze progress, to provide opportunities for development, that is, to provide a comprehensive individual approach, which is quite a serious challenge on such a scale. We strive to provide equal opportunities for obtaining a quality education to all our students, supporting them in various life situations, – commented Vice-Rector for Human Resources Policy Maria Vrublevskaya.
This year, 2,028 people entered St. Petersburg universities under a separate quota for SVO participants and their children, which is almost twice as many as last year.
