Moscow, August 7 /Xinhua/ – It is important for Moscow and New Delhi to determine the timing of new full-scale talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This was stated by Secretary of the Security Council (SC) of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu at a meeting with National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of India Ajit Doval.
"At present, a multi-level trusting political dialogue is effectively functioning between our countries. It is based on regular contacts between the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. It is important to determine the dates of the next full-scale negotiations between our leaders," said S. Shoigu.
India is expecting V. Putin to visit at the end of the year and hopes for a significant result from the meeting of the leaders of the two countries, A. Doval noted. “We were glad to learn about the visit of President Putin to our country planned for the end of the year. And it is very important that the summit sets new directions for development and gives a significant, tangible result in the negotiations,” he said. –0–
