BEIJING, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) — China firmly opposes the politicization and weaponization of technology and trade and economic issues by the United States, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said on Thursday.
Guo Jiakun made the remarks after the US Justice Department announced that two Chinese nationals had been charged with shipping advanced artificial intelligence chips made by Nvidia to China in violation of US export restrictions.
"The Chinese side firmly opposes the politicization, instrumentalization and weaponization of technological and trade and economic issues by the United States to maliciously blockade and suppress China.
