On August 9, a sports procession dedicated to the Physical Culture Day will take place on the Central Alley of VDNKh. It will unite athletes, physical education teachers, active families and everyone who leads a healthy lifestyle.
The event will start at 13:00 in Sibirsky Proezd and will end at 15:00 near the historical park "Russia – My History" (pavilion No. 57). Admission is free.
About three thousand people will take part in the festive procession. Among them are Olympic and Paralympic champions, representatives of sports federations and societies, employees of state corporations, physical education teachers, holders of the GTO badges, participants in the special military operation and pensioners.
Here you will be able to see three-time Olympic champion in synchronized swimming Alexandra Patskevich, two-time Olympic champion in boxing Oleg Saitov, Olympic champion in rowing Yuri Postrigay, Olympic champion in cross-country skiing Alexander Legkov and two-time Olympic champion in fencing Yana Egoryan.
The event was organized by the All-Russian public movement "Healthy Fatherland" with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation and VDNKh. One of its main goals is to revive the tradition of sports parades in Russia.
The event is carried out in accordance with the objectives strategies modernization and development of the sports sector in Moscow until 2030.
Sports procession "Healthy Fatherland" will take place within the framework of the project "Summer in Moscow".
