Library No. 233 will hold an event called “Blockade Nocturne” dedicated to the history of the Leningrad blockade.
Participants will learn about life in the besieged city: the food crisis, bread rations, work on the Road of Life, daily shelling. Particular attention will be paid to the fates of children who worked in hospitals and factories. The program will also include a screening of documentary footage and a review of books from the library collection covering the events of 1941–1944.
