In Bashkortostan, in the city of Blagoveshchensk, with the support of ANK Bashneft (part of the Rosneft structure), a sports and recreation complex with a swimming pool with a total area of over 4.5 thousand square meters was opened. The new large sports facility was designed and built within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between Rosneft and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The sports complex building is equipped with a spacious multi-purpose hall for basketball, mini-football and volleyball, a four-lane swimming pool, a climbing wall, a wrestling hall, a gym, showers and changing rooms. The complex is designed for 550 visits per day.
The opening of the sports and health complex has become an important stage in the development of the sports infrastructure of the city and the entire Blagoveshchensk district, whose population is almost 50 thousand people. The complex has all the conditions for sports and health improvement of residents of different ages, as well as for holding sports events at the regional and federal level.
During the grand opening of the complex, the All-Russian mass street basketball competition “Orange Ball” was held, in which 80 teams took part.
Support for mass, children's and youth sports is one of the significant areas of social work of Rosneft and its subsidiaries. Sports complexes, arenas, and multifunctional sports grounds are built in the regions of presence with the Company's funds. Dozens of modern large sports facilities have been opened in the regions of Russia with the support of Rosneft. The company supports projects aimed at developing and popularizing physical culture and a healthy lifestyle.
In Bashkortostan, thanks to the Company's support, more than 30 sports facilities have been opened in 16 districts of the republic since 2017. Among them: ice palaces in the cities of Oktyabrsky, Kumertau and Tuymazy, a world-class skate park in Dyurtyuli and the Spartak stadium in Tuymazy – the largest sports facility in the west of the republic. In the Blagoveshchensky district, six training grounds were opened, which were located in the Ufimsky Sokol sports center. Also, 11 multifunctional sports and health complexes appeared in the districts and cities of the republic with the support of the oil company.
