Moscow, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) — The Kremlin does not rule out the possibility of holding a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy Steven Witkoff this week, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.
“We do not rule out the possibility of holding such a meeting,” TASS quotes him as saying.
As the Kremlin representative emphasized, contacts with the special envoy of the American president are very important and useful. “We are always glad to see Mr. Witkoff in Moscow. And we are always glad to have contacts with Mr. Witkoff, we consider them important, meaningful and very useful,” noted D. Peskov.
