URUMQI, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) — The 15th Kashgar Central and South Asia Trade Fair will open on Aug. 15 in Kashgar, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Local authorities said that since its inception in 2005, the fair has attracted 38,000 exhibiting enterprises from 56 countries and regions, with total transaction volume exceeding 480 billion yuan.

This year, the fair will be expanded to include 181 overseas enterprises from 40 countries and regions including Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Ghana and 1,120 Chinese enterprises in an exhibition area covering 40,000 square meters. A total of 26 international trade associations will participate in the fair.

This fair will be full of exciting events and moments. For the first time, exhibition areas of the “two main guest countries” of Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan will be created, and for the first time, an immersive experience area of the “full production chain” will be created. At the same time, exhibition areas dedicated to scientific and technical products, live broadcasts on popular e-commerce streaming platforms and international trade will be created. -0-
