BEIDAIHE, Hebei Province, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) — Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, visited outstanding experts who are spending their summer vacation in Beidaihe, a seaside resort in north China's Hebei Province, on Sunday.
On behalf of General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping, Cai Qi conveyed sincere greetings to the experts in Beidaihe and all other experts in the country on behalf of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council of the People's Republic of China.
It is an important institutional practice to invite outstanding experts to spend the summer in Beidaihe every year. This summer, the invited people include high-tech, philosophy, and social sciences, as well as young talents in basic research.
