Yerevan, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) — Yerevan recorded a record high temperature on Saturday, with the air temperature reaching 41.9 degrees Celsius at approximately 17:00 local time, the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center under the Armenian Ministry of Environment reported.

It is noted that the previous record was set in 2000 and was 40.8 degrees Celsius.

In hot weather, experts recommend drinking plenty of water, reducing the consumption of caffeinated drinks, avoiding carbonated juices, avoiding direct sunlight, limiting physical activity during the hottest hours of the day, and always carrying an umbrella, hat, and sunglasses when outdoors. –0–
