Tashkent, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) — Exports of construction materials from Uzbekistan in the first half of this year exceeded $428 million, the National News Agency of Uzbekistan (UzA) reported on Friday, citing data from the Uzpromstroymaterialy Association.
From January to June of this year, the volume of construction materials exports amounted to 428.4 million dollars. In particular, products worth a total of 107 million dollars were sent to Russia, 94.7 million dollars to Kazakhstan, and 64.4 million dollars to Kyrgyzstan.
It is noted that in recent years the construction materials industry has demonstrated steady growth and is a significant economic sector that helps meet domestic needs and increase the export potential of Uzbekistan. –0–
