BEIJING, July 30 (Xinhua) — The 5th China-Mongolia Expo will be held from Aug. 25 to 29, 2025 in Hohhot, capital of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Deputy Minister of Commerce Yan Dong said at a press conference on Wednesday.
The Expo, which is co-hosted by the governments of China and Mongolia every two years, is open to participants from all over the world, he said.
As an important event for promoting economic and trade relations between the two countries, the 5th China-Mongolia Expo will be themed "Deepening Mutually Beneficial Cooperation, Promoting Win-Win," he said.
The upcoming expo will focus on regional development, openness and diversity, Yan Dong stressed, adding that the expo will aim to build a new platform for China's northward expansion, form a new hub for developing regional industrial and supply chains, and create a new fulcrum for regional cooperation in Northeast Asia.
According to Chinese statistics, in 2024, foreign trade turnover between China and Mongolia reached a record high of 18.62 billion US dollars, up 10.1 percent year on year, Yan Dong emphasized.
Thanks to the joint efforts of both sides, the range of mutual investments continues to expand, covering not only traditional manufacturing but also emerging sectors such as the digital economy and green energy.
The parties jointly promoted the modernization of the cross-border economic cooperation zone, cross-border railways and border crossing infrastructure, achieving positive progress in these areas.
Over the years, China has assisted Mongolia in implementing numerous infrastructure, manufacturing and livelihood projects, and provided training for more than 9,700 personnel in various fields, contributing to Mongolia's economic and social development.
Let us recall that more than 3,000 enterprises from 35 countries and regions of the world took part in the 4th China-Mongolia EXPO. -0-
