MINSK, July 30 /Xinhua/ — Belarus wants to step up cooperation with Ethiopia. This was stated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Tuesday at a meeting with Ethiopian Foreign Minister Gedion Timotewos in Minsk. The corresponding information was published by the press service of the Belarusian head of state on the same day.
The President of Belarus noted that given the mutual interest in cooperation, the two countries have potential for further development of cooperation. “We met in Kazan at the BRICS summit with the Prime Minister of Ethiopia and agreed that the foreign ministries of the two countries will develop a specific plan, a roadmap for our cooperation, which is what we are doing,” the Belarusian leader noted.
According to him, Belarus is ready to supply Ethiopia with the entire range of necessary engineering products. “We are ready to supply you with the entire range of agricultural machinery and equipment. In addition, we are ready to transfer the relevant technologies to you and train your people in these technologies,” A. Lukashenko said.
