BEIJING, July 30 (Xinhua) — A forum on the establishment of an international tourism corridor was held in Heihe, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, recently bringing together Chinese and foreign guests to discuss prospects for cross-border cooperation in culture and tourism between China and Russia. Leaders, representatives of tourism enterprises and public circles from the two countries gathered on the bank of the Heilongjiang (Amur) River, witnessed the signing of a series of agreements and gave new impetus to the development of Northeast Asia.

According to the Heilongjiang Daily, the event opened with a screening of tourism videos from Heilongjiang Province, Russia's Amur Region and Heihe City, as well as a performance by artists with numbers in the Russian national style. The Heihe Department of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, together with the Amur Region, presented the unique resources of the two regions, revealing the charm of the "twin cities".

During the forum, Gao Shan, General Manager of Trip.com Group in Heilongjiang Province, delivered a speech on “Heihe Model for Deepening the Development of Cross-Border Cultural Tourism”, outlining innovative ways to build an international tourism corridor in Heihe City.

At the signing ceremony, Chinese and foreign tourism companies signed multilateral cooperation agreements aimed at pooling resources and synchronizing markets, which accelerated cross-border partnership.
