BEIJING, July 30 (Xinhua) — The Chinese and Russian navies will hold joint exercises called "Maritime Interaction 2025" in the sea and airspace near Vladivostok in August, Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Zhang Xiaogang said at a regular press briefing on Wednesday.

After the maneuvers, some of the servicemen from both sides will head to the corresponding area of the Pacific Ocean to conduct the 6th joint maritime patrol.

A spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Defense stressed that these joint exercises are part of the annual cooperation program between the armed forces of China and Russia, are not directed against any third party, and are not related to the current international and regional situation. -0-
