WUHAN, July 30 (Xinhua) — Liu Jun, former chairman of the Chinese Super League, which runs the Chinese Football Super League, has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for accepting bribes.
The sentence was handed down by the Tongshan County People's Court in Hubei Province on Wednesday.
The court also fined the defendant 1.1 million yuan (approximately 154 thousand US dollars) and confiscated the illegally appropriated funds for the benefit of the state.
