BISHKEK, July 29 (Xinhua) — Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region, on Tuesday, the press service of the Kyrgyz president reported.
As noted, during the meeting, the parties comprehensively examined the state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Tajik relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and cooperation.
The fruitful results of the recent exchange of state visits between the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan were also discussed.
“In this context, the heads of state emphasized the importance of further developing trade and economic cooperation and other aspects of bilateral relations, and focused on issues of advancing the process of demarcating the state border between the two countries,” the statement said.
