Specialists have begun to erect the first floor of the boarding house building, which is being built on the territory of the Federal Children's Rehabilitation Center (FCRC) in Novosibirsk Oblast. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
"On the instructions of the President, the country continues to work on creating large world-class medical centers for the rehabilitation of children. The construction of such large-scale healthcare facilities is not only a necessity, but also an important step towards improving the quality of specialized medical care for patients under 18. Currently, a boarding house is being built on the territory of the Federal Children's Rehabilitation Center in Novosibirsk Oblast, which is designed for 100 children. Young patients will have the opportunity to live there with their parents. Now specialists are constructing the first floor of the building," said Marat Khusnullin.
The construction of the boarding house with an area of over 8 thousand square meters began in February 2025. The boarding house will be connected by underground and overground heated passages to the main building. In addition to residential rooms, there will also be a canteen with a dining hall for 115 people, co-working areas, administrative and technical premises. All work is planned to be completed in 2026.
"The medical institution will become a safe and supportive space where children can feel comfortable. Innovative treatment methods will also be used to restore children in the center. The FDRC will provide a new level of rehabilitation and will be able to accept young patients not only from Siberian regions, but from all over Russia," said Karen Oganesyan, CEO of the Unified Customer PPC.
The center under construction will provide treatment to children with diseases of the nervous system, musculoskeletal system, rheumatological diseases and diseases of the sensory organs. A similar Federal Children's Rehabilitation Center is being built by the "Unified Customer" in Yevpatoriya. In Podolsk, Moscow Region, such a facility has already been operating since 2023.
