TIANJIN, July 25 (Xinhua) — A community with a shared future for mankind is one of the key topics on the agenda of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), former special assistant to Pakistan's Prime Minister Zafar Uddin Mahmood said at an event titled "Dialogue of Civilizations among SCO Countries 2025" on Thursday.
According to him, in a world where conflicts often occur, people must first understand each other, deeply understand each other's values and develop a spirit of inclusiveness to achieve peaceful coexistence.
He added that as the level of connectivity increases, especially through the promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative, the level of mutual understanding between the peoples of the SCO countries continues to grow.
The SCO Dialogue of Civilizations 2025 was held in Tianjin, northern China. The event, jointly organized by the State Council Information Office, the Foreign Language Publication and Dissemination Office and the SCO Secretariat, aims to deepen mutual understanding and strategic trust, and promote the building of a closer SCO community with a shared future.
