In 2025, 300 million rubles will be allocated to continue the reconstruction of the building in Kursk, where the regional history museum is planned to be located. The order to this effect was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Due to federal funding, by the end of the year the level of technical readiness of the exhibition building with a total area of 8.6 thousand square meters should be 40%. Work is underway at the cultural heritage site of regional significance "Building of the Male Classical Gymnasium". It was built in 1836-1842.
It is planned that the renovated building of the gymnasium with the local history museum will become the main part of the historical, cultural and spiritual-educational cluster "Kursk Fortress", which is being created in the city center.
The work is being carried out within the framework of the state program “Development of Culture”.
