BEIJING, July 28 (Xinhua) — China's Foreign Ministry on Monday called on the United States to abandon the presumption of guilt and political manipulation, and thereby stop politically motivated and discriminatory enforcement of laws against Chinese students and scholars in the United States.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun made the statement at a regular departmental press conference in response to journalists' requests to comment on the report that another Chinese scientist had been detained without grounds by American law enforcement agencies. -0-
