First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov held a working meeting in Moscow with the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin and discussed with him the development of the region’s industry and the implementation of promising projects.
Speaking about the general dynamics of industrial development, the head of the region noted the steady growth of the Nizhny Novgorod Region's indicators. The total volume of shipped products for the first half of 2025 amounted to 1.13 trillion rubles, which is 4.8% more than for the same period in 2024. The industrial production index for the half-year amounted to 103.3%, and for manufacturing – 104.7%. The greatest growth is observed in the production of coke and petroleum products – 44%, metal products – 31.1%, and the production of machinery and equipment – 21%.
Also during the meeting, the First Deputy Prime Minister discussed with the Governor issues related to the development of microelectronics, the implementation of infrastructure projects in Nizhny Novgorod, and the prospects for the region's interaction with Belarusian colleagues in the shipbuilding industry.
