SHENZHEN, July 28 (Xinhua) — A 6S robot store opened in Longgang District of Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province, on Monday, the first such store in the world, local authorities said.
A total of 26 robot manufacturing companies, including Unitree Robotics, signed partnership agreements with the retail outlet on the same day.
Currently, more than 200 companies from upstream and downstream of the production chain have expressed interest in working with the store, including about 50 companies that manufacture humanoid and service robots. The companies cover the entire production chain – from research and development of key components to final assembly of finished robots, from software algorithms to specific application scenarios.
According to the management company of Shenzhen Future Times Robotics Co., Ltd., the 6S robot shop, based on the traditional 4S (sales, parts, service, feedback) model of an automobile shop, offers two additional services: rental and custom-made.
The company emphasized that the store is reconsidering service standards and the model for connecting supply and demand in the robotics industry, forming an effective bridge for transferring robots from laboratories to the market and transforming technical concepts into real practical solutions. –0–
