Xi Jinping welcomed the new envoys to China and asked them to convey best wishes to the leaders and people of their countries, and expressed the hope that the envoys will gain a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of China.

China values friendship with people around the world and is willing to strengthen all-round cooperation and exchanges with other countries on the basis of mutual respect, equality, as well as mutual benefit and win-win, Xi said.

At present, China is moving forward on the path of great national rejuvenation in all directions through Chinese-style modernization, and the Chinese economy continues to steadily gain momentum, the head of state said.

Against the backdrop of accelerating global changes and a turbulent international environment, Xi continued, countries need solidarity and cooperation as well as a broad vision more than ever to overcome alienation and conflicts and, by striving for more, care for the future of all mankind.

Xi Jinping noted that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, as well as the 80th anniversary of the founding of the UN. China is ready to stand firm with all countries to guard the international system, with the UN at its core, and the international order based on international law, he stressed. -0-
