Moscow, July 23 /Xinhua/ — The third round of Russian-Ukrainian talks will be held in Istanbul on Wednesday evening, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed.

“Indeed, our delegation has gone to Istanbul and, indeed, negotiations are planned there this evening,” said D. Peskov.

Earlier, the Turkish TV channel TRT Haber reported that Russian-Ukrainian negotiations would begin on July 23 at 19:00 Turkish time.

The composition of the Russian negotiating group, according to the press secretary of the Russian president, has not changed.

At the talks in Istanbul, issues related to the draft memoranda that the parties exchanged during the second round will be discussed, said D. Peskov.

All work on coordinating the draft memorandums between Russia and Ukraine can be regarded as preparation for a possible meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky, he said. –0–
