Since its opening in 2011, more than 43 thousand births have been performed, including 1060 multiple births, 43,696 children have been born, 530 of whom were extremely low birth weight. A third of all births (33%) in Zabaikalsky Krai are performed in this center, the proportion of premature births is 54%.

The consultative and diagnostic center as a structural subdivision provides consultative assistance to pregnant women from the high-risk group. The capacity of this subdivision is 100 visits per shift.

The ZKPC has a medical and social assistance center that provides comprehensive support and guidance to pregnant women who find themselves in difficult life circumstances, psychological and social and legal assistance. More than 2,400 women seek help here annually, and about 16% of those who received counseling kept their pregnancy.

The antenatal fetal health department annually presents more than 500 pregnant women for prenatal consultation. Prenatal diagnostic coverage in the region is 93%.

The department of assisted reproductive technologies conducts more than 600 IVF programs annually, the effectiveness rate is 38. IVF is available under compulsory medical insurance, there is no waiting list.

Coordination of work on routing pregnant women, women in labor and women in labor in the Zabaikalsky Krai is a special task. The center has created and successfully operates an obstetric remote consultation center, which operates online, 24/7. Thus, more than 3,500 consultations are conducted annually.

The staffing level of the center is 78.2% (obstetricians-gynecologists – 80%, neonatologists – 94.4%, anesthesiologists-resuscitators – 85.6%, mid-level medical personnel – 81.1%). 90 young specialists are employed (including 29 doctors, 61 employees – mid-level medical personnel). The total number of employees is 248 people.

ZKPC is the holder of the WHO and UNICEF title of "Baby-Friendly Clinic" (2022). Over the years of the center's operation, the number of children who are breastfed has increased to a record 98%. The center has a maternity school and courses for preparing for partner childbirth. In 2024, ZKPC was recognized as a "Friendly Organization in the Social Sphere"; it is the only institution in the region that is among the top ten perinatal centers in Russia that have the "Quality and Safety of Medical Activities" certificate from Roszdravnadzor (2023) – a document confirming compliance with the requirements of the voluntary certification system of medical organizations.

In the Zabaikalsky Krai, as part of the implementation of the federal program “Modernization of Primary Health Care,” construction continues on children’s outpatient department No. 1 with a capacity of 200 visits per shift.

As part of the implementation of the federal program "Development of Healthcare Infrastructure", construction of the regional children's clinical hospital in Chita continues. The hospital's outpatient center is designed for 250 visits per shift, the inpatient department – for 450 beds, the intensive care unit – for 22 beds, the day hospital – for 40 places.

Major repairs are being carried out at 20 facilities, of which 19 (9 polyclinics, 4 district hospitals, 2 medical outpatient clinics and 4 feldsher-midwife stations) are being reconstructed under the program "Modernization of primary health care". Major repairs have also begun at the regional clinical hospital in Chita.

Thanks to the “Modernization of Primary Health Care” program, in 2025, the Zabaikalsky Krai will purchase 13 prefabricated modular structures, including 7 FAPs and 6 medical outpatient clinics.

And within the framework of the implementation of federal projects such as “Protection of Motherhood and Childhood”, “Modernization of Primary Health Care”, “Fight Against Diabetes”, “Medical Rehabilitation Optimal for Recovery”, “Health for Everyone”, it is planned to purchase 527 units of equipment.
