KYIV, July 23 /Xinhua/ — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has created a delegation to participate in the upcoming peace talks with international partners and Russia in Istanbul, and approved its composition, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported on Wednesday.
According to the text of the decree of V. Zelensky from July 22, published on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine (OPU), the delegation will be headed by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, who previously held the post of Minister of Defense.
In addition to R. Umerov, the Ukrainian delegation will include 13 more representatives of intelligence services, parliament, the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the President. Among them are the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Serhiy Kyslytsya, Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Poklad, Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadym Skibitsky.
Another round of peace talks between Ukraine and Russia is scheduled to take place later on Wednesday in Istanbul. The previous round of peace talks took place on June 2 in Istanbul. –0–
