SEOUL, July 20 (Xinhua) — Fourteen people have been killed and 12 others are missing after five days of heavy rains hit the Republic of Korea (ROK), the country's Ministry of the Interior and Safety said Sunday.
According to him, as of 11:00 local time /02:00 GMT/, 14 people have been confirmed dead, and another 12 are still missing.
Rainfall that began on Wednesday has forced 13,209 people to flee their homes across the country. As of Sunday morning, 3,836 remained in temporary shelters.
