BEIJING, July 20 (Xinhua) — The number of freight train departures on China-Central Asia international freight routes increased by 25 percent year-on-year in the first half of 2025, state-owned China Railways Corp. (CRC) said Sunday.
According to the company, the China-Europe freight transport sector maintained stable dynamics during the reporting period, with freight trains completing 7,349 China-Central Asia trips.
In the first half of 2025, China's rail freight volume showed steady growth. According to China Railway Corporation, the total volume of freight transported during this period was 1.98 billion tons, up 3 percent year-on-year. The average daily loading was approximately 182,000 units, up 4 percent year-on-year. -0-
