BEIJING, July 20 (Xinhua) — Northwest China's Shaanxi Province's foreign trade volume stood at 244.51 billion yuan (about 34.2 billion U.S. dollars) in the first half of 2025, up 7.5 percent year on year, data from Xi'an Customs showed.
According to customs data, exports totaled 170.53 billion yuan, up 10.6 percent, while imports totaled 73.98 billion yuan, up 1.1 percent.
From January to June this year, the province's trade volume with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative amounted to 132.37 billion yuan, accounting for 54.1 percent of the province's total foreign trade volume.
During the reporting period, the foreign trade volume of foreign-invested enterprises in Shaanxi Province amounted to 141.83 billion yuan, up 13.3 percent year on year and accounting for 58 percent of the province's total foreign trade volume.
In addition, the export of electromechanical products amounted to 146.51 billion yuan, accounting for 85.9 percent of the province's total export volume during the reporting period, while the import of such products amounted to 50.96 billion yuan, accounting for 68.9 percent of the province's total import volume during the said period. -0-
