ISLAMABAD, July 13 (Xinhua) — At least 104 people were killed and over 200 injured in heavy rains and flash floods in Pakistan from June 26 to July 12, Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said on Sunday.

According to the NDMA, six people have died and 15 were injured in rain-related accidents in the last 24 hours.

The highest death toll, 39, was recorded in the eastern province of Punjab, followed by the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 31 deaths, the southern province of Sindh with 17 deaths and the southwestern province of Balochistan with 16 deaths.

Authorities have issued warnings of further rainfall in the coming days and urged residents, especially in low-lying and vulnerable areas, to take precautions. Search and rescue operations are ongoing in the worst-hit regions. –0–
