Moscow, July 12 /Xinhua/ — General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK Kim Jong-un on Saturday received Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who arrived in the DPRK on a visit, in the city of Wonsan, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.
According to the report, at the beginning of the meeting, S. Lavrov conveyed greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the DPRK leader. “The President sends you his warmest greetings, confirms his commitment to all agreements that have been reached, and very much hopes to continue direct contacts with you in the very near future,” said S. Lavrov.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also posted a video of the beginning of the meeting on its Telegram channel. S. Lavrov and Kim Jong-un shook hands and hugged.
According to the Korean Central News Agency, S. Lavrov arrived at Wonsan airport on Friday night, beginning his visit to the DPRK. His visit will last from July 11 to 13. –0–
