TIANJIN, July 11 (Xinhua) — The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Digital Economy Forum 2025 was held in north China's Tianjin Municipality on Friday, opening up new horizons for cooperation among SCO member states.

During the forum, Liu Lehong, Director General of the National Data Administration of the People's Republic of China, noted that the SCO member countries have established significant and important cooperation in such areas as the construction of digital infrastructure, digital transformation of traditional industries, and coordinated industrial development.

These efforts will stimulate the development of the digital economy and scientific and technological innovation, giving new impetus to regional development, Liu Lehong added.

The forum is held under the motto “New links in the digital economy, joint expansion of new horizons of cooperation.” The forum program includes an opening ceremony, the main forum, four thematic subforums and other specialized events.

The forum, jointly hosted by the State Data Administration and the Tianjin People's Government, is attended by more than 1,500 guests representing governments, enterprises, universities and think tanks of SCO member states. Participants discuss topics such as the integration of digital and real sectors for industrial development, digital talent training, data management and digital infrastructure construction. –0–
