BEIJING, July 10 (Xinhua) — The second training course this year for farmers from five Central Asian countries opened at Weinan Vocational Institute on Wednesday, with 30 participants from Kushrabot district of Samarkand region of Uzbekistan.

The course participants, according to the institute’s press service, expressed gratitude to the Chinese side and their willingness to borrow Chinese agricultural methods, as well as their desire to establish cooperation with it.

Weinan Vocational Institute is located in Weinan City, Shaanxi Province, northwest China. Contacts between the city and Kushrabot District began in 2003. In June this year, the two sides formally established sister city relations.

Let us recall that the project to train farmers from Central Asia is being implemented as part of the implementation of the results of the China-Central Asia summit, which took place in May 2023 in Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province.

Since December 2023, more than 150 farmers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have participated in trainings organized by Weinan Vocational Institute. -0-
